Today is Veterans’ Day and I want to stop and remember the more than 2 million women veterans. Women nurses were much loved and respected during the Vietnam War. These young women heroically served their country by tending to the wounded and dying young American soliders in Southeast Asia. Today women fight in combat, command airstrikes, pilot fighter jets, and oversee medical operations. This article describes 14 impressive women in the U.S. military. After reading about these women, you will have one more reason to honor our vets on Veterans’ Day.
