If you work from home, I’m sure you’ll agree that it can be a juggling act at times. Working at home is an option not only for self-employed individuals. According to Global Workplace Analytics, 3.7 million employees (2.8% of the workforce) now work from home at least half the time. They further report that 22% of the self-employed population (2.8 million individuals) work primarily from home.
Work From Home – The Plus and Minus
The advantages of working from home are numerous, and the benefits are plenty. Here are few pluses:
- No stress driving from work and home
- No dress code
- More time to exercise
- Learn to use your time more efficiently
- No office rents
A few Con’s include:
- Can’t hold a business meeting in your home
- Family members don’t believe you are in “work mode.”
- Uninvited guests
- Can feel isolated
- Noisy children
